Bluehole - Let's talk Wellbia/XINGCOD3 user privacy risks for the sake of transparency
For those who don't know.. XINGCODE-3 is a kernel (ring0) privillege process under xhunter1.sys owned by the Korean company Wellbia (www.wellbia.com). Unlike what people say, Wellbia isn't owned or affiliated with Tencent, however, XINGCOD3 is custom designed contractor for each individual game - mainly operating in the APAC region, many of them owned by Tencent. XINGCODE-3 is outsourced to companies as a product modified to the specific characteristics of the game. The process runs on the highest privilegied level of the OS upon boot and is infamous for being an essential rootkit - on a malware level, it has the highest vulnerability to be abused should Wellbia or any of the 3rd Party Companies be target of an attack. It has been heavily dissected by the hacking community as being highly intrusive and reversed engineered (although nowadays still easily bypassable by a skilled and engaged modder by created a custom Win Framework). While most is true for a standard anti-cheating, users should be aware that XINGCOD3 able to scan the entire user memory cache, calls for DLL's, including physical state API's such as GetAsyncKeyState where it scans for the physical state of hardware peripherals, essentially becoming a hardware keylogger. Studying the long history of reverse engineering of this software has shown that Wellbia heavily collects user data for internal processing in order to create whitelists of processes and strings analyzed by evaluating PE binaries - having full access to your OS it also is known to scan and having access to user file directories and collecting and storing paths of modified files under 48 hours for the sake of detecting possible sources of bypassing. All this data is ultimately collected by Wellbia to their host severs - also via API calls to Korean servers in order to run services such as whitelists, improve algorithm accuracy and run comparative statistics and analysis based on binaries, strings and common flags. Usually this is a high risk for any service, including BattleEye, EasyAntiCheat, etc. but what's worrying in Wellbia, thus. Bluehole's are actually a couple of points: (not to mention you can literally just deny the service from installing, which by itself is already a hilarious facepalm situation and nowhere does the TSL call for an API of the service)
Starting off, Wellbia is a rather small development company with having only one product available on the market for rather small companies, the majority hold by Chinese government and countries where the data handling, human rights and user privacy is heavily disregarded. This makes my tinfoil hat think that the studio's network security isn't as fortified as a Sony which had abused rootkits, just due to budget investment alone. Their website is absolutely atrocious and amateur - and for an international company that deals with international stakeholders and clients it's impressive the amount of poor english, errors and ambiguous information a company has in their presentation website - there's instances where the product name is not even correctly placed in their own EULA - if a company cannot invest even in basic PR and presentation something leaves me a bitter taste that their network security isn't anything better. They can handle user binaries but network security is a completely different work. The fact that hackers are easily able to heartbeat their API network servers leaves me confirming this.
This the most fun one. Wellbia website and terms conditions explicitely say that they're not held accountable should anything happen - terms that you agree and are legally binded to by default by agreeing to Bluehole's terms and conditions:" Limitations of Company Responsibility
IGNCODE3 is a software provided for free to users. Users judge and determine to use services served by software developers and providers, and therefore the company does not have responsibility for results and damages which may have occurred from XIGNCODE3 installation and use.
2. Company has no responsibility attributable to user’s computer or network environment-based reasons.
3. Company has no responsibility for XIGNCODE3 and XIGNCODE3 based service errors, XIGNCODE3 and XIGNCODE3 based service prohibition from other services are attributable to user-based reasons."
(the fact that in 1. they can't even care to write properly the name of their product means how little they care about things in general - you can have a look at this whole joke of ToS's that I can probably put more effort in writting it: https://www.wellbia.com/?module=Html&action=SiteComp&sSubNo=5 - so I am sorry if I don't trust where my data goes into) 3) It kinda pisses me that Bluehole adopted this in the midst of the their product got released post-purchase. When I initially bought the product, in nowhere was written that the user operative system data was being collected by a third party company to servers located in APAC (and I'm one of those persons who heavily reads terms and conditions) - and the current ToS's still just touch this topic on the slightest and ambiguously - it does not say which data gets collected, discloses who and where it's hold - "third party" could be literally anyone - a major disrespect for your consumers. I'm kinda of pissed off as when I initially purchase the product in very very early stages of the game I didn't agree for any kernel level data collection to be held abroad without disclosure of what data is actually being collected otherwise it would have been a big No on the purchase. The fact that you change the rules of the game and the terms of conditions in the midst of the product release leaves me with two options Use to Your Terms or Don't Use a product I've already purchased now has no use - both changes ingame and these 3rd party implementations are so different from my initial purchase that I feel like it's the equivalent of purchasing a shower which in the next year is so heavily modified that it decides to be a toilet. I would really like for you Bluehole to show me the initial terms and conditions to when the game was initially released and offer me a refund once you decided to change the product and terms and conditions midway which I don't agree with but am left empty handed with no choice but to abandon the product - thus making this purchase a service which I used for X months and not a good. I really wish this topic had more visibility as I know that the majority of users are even in the dark about this whole thing and Valve and new game companies really make an effort in asserting their product's disclosures about data transparency and the limit of how much a product can change to be considered a valid product resembelance upon purchase when curating their games in the future - I literally bought a third person survival shooter and ended up with a rootkit chinese FPS. Sincerely, a pissed off customer - who unlike the majority is concerned about my data privacy and I wish you're ever held accountable for changing sensitive contract topics such as User Privacy mid-release. ----- EDIT: For completely removing it from your system should you wish: Locate the file Xhunter1.sysThis file is located in this directory: C:\Windows\xhunter1.sys Remove the Registry Entry (regedit on command prompt)The entry is located here: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SYSTEM > ControlSet001 > Services > xhunter For more information about XINGCOD3 and previous succesful abuses which show the malignant potential of the rootkit (kudos to Psychotropos): - https://x86.re/blog/xigncode3-xhunter1.sys-lpe/ - https://github.com/Psychotropos/xhunter1_privesc
Welcome all, to another edition of Psylisa's Guides! You didn't think I was going to forget the guide, did you? Things have been quite crazy both in the larger world and my world lately, so I'm a bit behind on everything. I hope everyone reading is staying safe. On to the champion! Freely is a Gold Find and Support Champion. He increases your divine favor directly with his Adventurous Tale ability. When you want to add Freely to your formation, you can swap him with Minsc (Slot 7).
Eldritch Blast: A beam of aquamarine crackling energy streaks towards a random enemy. Luck of Yondalla: Freely, and any allies granted this ability through his specializations, have the Luck of Yondalla backing them up. Whenever they attack, one of the following Lucky Breaks occurs completely at random, affecting all enemies hit by the attack. Each Lucky Break can be applied on each enemy once for each Champion with Luck of Yondalla. Each application lasts for 15 seconds, so even if 10 Champions are attacking a single enemy with Luck of Yondalla, the actual Lucky Break applications on the enemy will vary over time.
Requisition: Target will drop 10% more gold when they are killed, stacking multiplicatively. This Lucky Break can be buffed by equipment and feats.
Follow-Through: Any Champion who attacks this enemy has their next base attack's cooldown decreased by 0.1 sec for each application of this Lucky Break on the enemy. This Lucky Break is never buffed.
Opportunity: The targeted enemy takes 100% more damage from all attacks, inclusive, stacks multiplicatively.
Stagger: Target has a 2% chance to be stunned for 1 second when they are attacked by any Champion, stacking additively. This Lucky Break is never buffed.
Freely will always have Luck of Yondalla, regardless of his specialization.
The Gold increase via Requisition has a base value of 80% (1.8x) per application at level cap.
The bulk of Freely's Support ability stems from Opportunity getting applied; without this, Freely loses the multiplier from Unlucky For Them as well as the associated gear increase.
Ultimate Attacks will not trigger Yondalla application unless the Ultimate Attack modifies the Default Attack such as Nrakk or Strix. Birdsong's Ultimate will not add stacks, for example.
Ki Strike and other abilities will not apply stacks of Yondalla. Anything that isn't a Default Attack will not apply stacks.
Piercing attacks (default strikes), AoE attacks, and Multi-Strike attacks will apply stacks of Yondalla. Each enemy has an independent chance of applying a stack. Enemies hit more than once will only apply one stack.
Opportunity and Requisition will both work with Click Damage. Stagger will not.
Unlucky For Them: The total effect of Luck of Yondalla: Opportunity is increased by 100% on enemies affected by it. This buff applies once to the total value of the applications.
The bonus without gear is 6.14e5%.
This is not affected by Usurp, and can not be Observed.
This bonus is binary and does not stack - applies only once if Opportunity is active.
This bonus applies to the debuff value, not the attacking champion. As such, it will work with click damage.
An Adventurous Tale: If Freely is in your formation when you complete an area for the first time, he keeps track of it for future tales. When you reset your adventure, you'll collect an additional .01% of Divine Favor for each area Freely tracked, stacking additively but applying multiplicatively. Freely does not have to be in your formation when you reset to gain the additional Divine Favor, but he does need to be in your formation when you complete an area to increase his bonus. The bonus resets when you complete your adventure. This ability is buffed by feats and equipment.
At level cap, this becomes 0.023% per level cleared (before geafeats).
This is not affected by Usurp, and can not be Observed.
Cutting Words: Freely distracts enemies if he is within 3 slots of a Tank Champion who is under attack by at least 1 enemy, increasing the overwhelm point of such Champions by 5. This ability is not buffed.
This can not be Observed.
This WILL work with Bulk Up and Usurp (until CNE fixes it, probably).
For Usurp, Freely must be 3 slots away from another tank under attack with Arkhan at least 4 slots away from Freely while adjacent to the tank. Example. Very few formations will make any use of this.
Trust in Law: Grants Luck of Yondalla to all Lawful Champions in your formation. Affected Champions now cause Lucky Breaks whenever they attack. Value Neutrality: Grants Luck of Yondalla to Neutral Champions (on the Lawful/Neutral/Chaotic scale) in your formation. Affected Champions now cause Lucky Breaks whenever they attack. Always Expect Chaos: Grants Luck of Yondalla to Chaotic Champions in your formation. Affected Champions now cause Lucky Breaks whenever they attack.
If you are using Zorbu, I recommend taking Always Expect Chaos. Even if Zorbu is your only Chaotic champion, his pierce attack will inflict Yondalla every single enemy he hits.
Along with the above, Briv has a Cleave, Morgaen attacks twice, and Avren attacks 3 times. All Chaotic!
I Will Not Deafen: Freely grabs his sword and launches himself toward an enemy, showering green and red lightning in his wake until he smashes into his opponent for massive damage. It also applies all four Lucky Breaks on that enemy or any they didn't already have.
Despite the description, it doesn't deal MASSIVE damage. It deals okayish damage (5.4x multiplier before gear)
The key to this Ultimate is applying all 4 Lucky Breaks, which is very helpful against hardy targets.
Unfortunately, Lucky Breaks still only last 15 seconds. So get those hits in quickly!
Everyone Got Lucky Complete 500 Areas in a Full Formation Empowered by Luck of Yolondalla.
My recommendation is to use a Sword Coast formation (since there's only 9 slots).
The counter will carry and increment from adventure to adventure.
I just pick Neutral for this, but you can use any specialization as Freely always gives himself Yondalla.
Champions I selection: Deekin, Korth, Jarlaxle, Evelyn, Freely, Vlahnya, Makos, Tyril, Melf.
Clear 2-3 adventures as needed to meet the 500 required areas.
Slot 1: Global DPS Slot 2: Luck of Yondalla: Requisition Slot 3: Unlucky For Them Slot 4: An Adventurous Tale Slot 5: Ultimate Damage Slot 6: Ultimate Cooldown
Who should I focus on?
My advice: 1) Freely 2) Deekin 3) Walnut
Freely is top priority here. You'll want to gear up Requisition (Gold gain), Adventurous Tale (Favor Gain), and Unlucky (DPS).
All players should unlock Deekin. He's a speed champion, and should surpass Bruenor and K'Thriss in the slot with gear.
Walnut is in last place here. She's an okay tank, but nothing spectacular. There's simply better choices in both her slot and role.
Freely's Gold ability is a bit odd in that it increases direct favor by a % as well as providing a gold boost through Luck of Yondalla: Requisition. In 500 areas cleared (without geafeats), you can expect a ~10% increase in Divine Favor gained. Not too shabby, and you don't even have to use him in your final levels! I can see players getting a 2x bonus to favor with decent gear. For Azaka formations, he should absolutely be utilized over Catti-Brie. Assuming you are using Drizzt, Catti will provide a 2x boost to your Gold Find, which is a low bar to beat. Speaking of Azaka, if you are using Freely solely for Gold Find/Favor, then you'll most likely want to pick his Lawful specialization. Azaka, Drizzt, Krull, and Nrakk are all lawful, as is Spurt with Freely always getting his own buff - bringing the count to 6 attackers buffed. Don't forget his Fortuitous Feat to increase the base value of Requisition by 40%! The question for you Azaka fans out there will be whether you sub out Regis and Wulfgar in exchange for Lawful champions that can apply another stack of Requisition. I think if you're over 200% Requisition, you absolutely should. And that doesn't really require much gear to achieve. In terms of Support, Freely will not disappoint. Even gearless, he'll slide in with an e9-e10 buff ability, depending on how many stacks of Opportunity you manage to get. His key will be applying at least one stack of Opportunity to activate Unlucky For Them as well as the gear increase for it. Keep in mind, that with no stacks of Opportunity, you lose out on both the gear increase and the skill damage increase, so it's extremely important to keep this debuff up. It should also be noted that Yondalla will activate per target hit, so attacks that cleave/pierce become very valuable. As a debuff, it also double-dips with certain abilities (such as Stoki's Ki Explosion). Briv/Zorbu combination (they are both Chaotic; Zorbu pierces, Briv cleaves) along with Morgaen (attacks twice) and Avren (attacks three times) ended up pushing my levels quite a bit. Unlocking Freely's DPS potential will be reliant on using a champion that can double-dip on the debuffs (such as Stoki). Stoki is simply the easiest fit here. If you are lacking her or other champions that can double-dip, Freely's DPS potential definitely drops. Depending on your gear, you might consider other options.
Support: 8/10 (10/10 if using double-dip mechanics)Gold: 10/10
Great support if using anyone that double-dips on debuffs (such as Stoki).
Freely's Gold Find is 2nd best in the game, directly below Krull.
His bonus Favor Gain makes him outright essential for deep favor runs, even if you don't use him for Support when you are pushing at the end of your run.
Freely's bonus Favor when completing an adventure is calculating or displaying incorrect values.
Freely's Requisition calculates the bonus from Feats/Gear incorrectly. The base value is 1.8x (80% increase), while the Feat offers a 1.4x (40%) boost the base value. Thus, it should be 1.8 x 1.4 = 2.52 (or 152%). The game shows 112%. If it were additive, it would be 120% (80% + 40%). So either way, it's incorrect.
Freely's Opportunity and Unlucky for Them show different buff values in the character information screen. Unknown if this is a display bug, or which number the game is actually using. Screenshot here.
Google is ready to ban binary option and cryptocurrency ads
Well, it’s about time, Google is next in line to pose a stiff challenge to the largely fraudulent online trading industry. The world’s largest search engine has just announced that it plans to ban all cryptocurrencies and binary options advertisements, and it is cracking down on ads for various other speculative financial products.
Say goodbye to binary options & cryptocurrency ads
The new rules, which are scheduled to take effect in June, will flat out ban adverts for binary options, cryptocurrencies and all related content (including initial coin offerings, cryptocurrency exchanges, cryptocurrency wallets, and cryptocurrency trading advice. Cryptocurrencies have surged in popularity over the last year thanks to a boom in the price of bitcoin towards the end of fiscal 2017. This coincided with a surge in initial coin offerings (ICOs), where numerous startups have issued their own cryptocurrency in exchange for money to construct their businesses.
Taking Facebook’s lead
Google’s hard-line approach follows a similar ban that Facebook enacted earlier in the year in banning cryptocurrency related advertising on its platform. Scott Spencer, Google’s Director of Sustainable Ads said in a recent blog post that the clampdown is part of Google’s efforts to shield consumers from online trading scams. However, much of the online trading world is unregulated, which in turn has attracted scammers looking to make quick money. Last year myriads of “pump and dump” filled the market, while this year bogus ICO projects have become routine.
Forex & CFD Crackdown
Google is additionally coming down on ads for contracts for difference (CFD), spread betting, and foreign exchange (forex) instruments on its platform. These products carry a high level of risk and the entire industry is under increasing regulatory scrutiny across Europe over the past year thanks to severe investment fraud sweeping through the continent. The UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) issued a warning in November that cryptocurrency CFDs are incredibly high-risk, speculative products that risk the investor suffering significant losses. Research conducted by the FCA showed 82% of people who use the products lose money, implying CFDs are more similar to gambling than investing.
Affiliate marketing for online trading takes a hit
Google additionally announced it is banning ads from affiliates and aggregators who traffic leads to online trading brokers. These websites earn a commission for referring new clients to these products that are lightly regulated. The search giant will require CFD, spread bet, and forex websites to register with it if they want to advertise on its platform and all brokers must be licensed in the country they are looking to advertise in.
Pressure getting to Google
Google’s financial marketing crackdown arises among continued pressure on the search giant, which additionally owns YouTube, regarding the way it runs its advertising procedure. Google has been heavily criticized by the media and politicians for permitting everything from radicalization to binary options trading on its advertising platform due to careless controlling of content and advertising. Spencer did state in his blog post that Google removed 3.2 billion “bad” ads last year and announced, “Improving the ads experience across the web, whether that’s removing harmful ads or intrusive ads, will continue to be a top priority for us.” We shall see. However, there is a pretty good chance that these fraudulent brokers will just simply change the name of their product in order to get around Google’s ban and deceive an unsuspecting user.
What you can do
If you are the victim of an HBC Broker scam be sure to send your complaint to [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]), and we will do our very best to get into contact with you as soon as we can to initiate your funds recovery process.

General Event Tips
I highly recommend reading my Guide to Event Planning for basic progression information and ways to maximize your gains/efficiency during Events. There is too much information to put here as this specific Event guide is long enough already.
Don't be afraid to ask questions in the comment section! Also, I stream the game now and welcome any and all questions there as well! You can find all of my Idle Champions guides here. Good luck & have fun! ~ Gaar
Note: Event guides are always a work-in-progress and will update over time so check back frequently! I'll note at the top in the revisions area when it's complete. Important: In Year 3 and beyond, there will be a lot to do to unlock all Champions Gear from an Event if it's your first time doing it. I recommend focusing your time and resources on Gear for no more than 2 Champions as a new player. You can still unlock all 3 Champions though, and should. Your Event tokens are a finite resource, as is your time, and it can be challenging enough to complete two full sets of adventures as a new player, not to mention have time left to do Free Plays for more gear. You also end up with fewer Chests for each Champion if you go for 3+ Champions per Event. Feel free to ask in the comments about which Champions are recommended in the current iteration of the game so you can make an informed decision on how to spend your time.
Year One Champion - Nrakk, the Githzerai Monk
You can find their Event Guide here. Feel free to ask questions about them and their formations here in the comments as the linked discussion may be locked to new comments.
Year Two Champion - Aila, the Wild Elf Barbarian
You can find their Event Guide here. Feel free to ask questions about them and their formations here in the comments as the linked discussion may be locked to new comments.
Year Three Champion - Melf, the Elf FighteWizard
You can read their original Champion Spotlight here. Slot 12: Swaps with Arkhan, Azaka, Nerys, & Zorbu. Good with: Elves; everyone Eligible for Patrons: Mirt, Vajra, & Strahd
Bio: Born into the royal family of Celene, he assumed the simple name of Melf eschewing a life of comfort as a noble to study the arcane arts and train as a swordsman. He delved in the dungeons of Castle Greyhawk, the Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth and many other harrowing places honing his skills, knowledge and amassing powerful magic items. Melf sees himself as a weapon of weal hurtling toward the heart of the darkest evils in the realm. He is opinionated and has a touch of conceit that he is blissfully ignorant of possessing.
Base Attack Speed: 5 seconds Basic Attack: Zagyg’s Needle - Melf leaps out and attacks the nearest enemy with his magic spear. If Melf has any Minute Meteors active, he fires one at a random enemy as well. Ultimate: Melf's Minute Meteors — Melf summons six Minute Meteors that float around him. They are fired when he attacks normally and deal BUD-based damage to all enemies in a small area.
Melf's Adaptive Support Spell: Melf creates a new spell to assist the formation. He customizes it based on the Champions in the formation and where Melf is placed within it. It increases the damage of Champions adjacent to Melf by 100% and that value is augmented based on some other parameters, each of which applies multiplicatively.
If there is another Elf (aside from Melf) in the formation, increase the effect by 50%
Increase the range by 2 if Melf is not in the front-most or rear-most columns in the formation (affects all champions within 3 slots)
Increase the effect by 10% for each unique race in the formation
This ability is buffed by upgrades and equipment (buffs apply to the final calculated value, not the individual increases). Melf's Augmented Support Spell: Melf augments his Adaptive Support Spell for each Champion it affects.
Increase the effect by 50% on the non-dominant gender in the formation (applies to non-binary champions all the time)
Increase the effect by 50% for each slot away from Melf a Champion is (multiplicatively)
Melf's Speedy Supplement: Melf provides one of the following effects at random. A new effect is chosen at random every 50 areas (though it could pick the same one multiple times in a row).
Increase chance to spawn an additional enemy with each wave by 25%
Increase enemy spawn speed by 25%
Increase chance of double quest drops by 25%
This ability is buffed by equipment; note if the chance of double quest drops gets above 100% it will then always cause double quest drops with a chance to cause triple quest drops, etc. Likewise with spawning additional enemies with each wave. Melf's Righteous Determination: Melf knows exactly what evil is. Whenever an enemy spawns it has a 50% chance of being deemed "evil" by Melf. Enemies that are deemed evil take 100% more damage from all Ultimate attacks.
Bonus Adaption: Increases the effect of Melf's Adaptive Support Spell by 100% Extra Supplements: Increase the effect of Melf's Speedy Supplement by 100% Absolute Righteousness: Increase the effect of Melf's Righteous Determination by 100%
Slot 1: Spear - Increases the damage of all Champions Slot 2: Shield - Increases the damage of all Champions Slot 3: Cloak - Increases the effect of Melf's Melf's Adaptive Support Spell ability Slot 4: Spellbook - Increases the effect of Melf's Melf's Speedy Supplement ability Slot 5: Chainmail - Increases the effect of Melf's Melf's Righteous Determination ability Slot 6: Meteor - Buffs Melf's Ultimate attack Damage

Formation & Mission Information
Once you complete the first mission, three Variants and a Free Play show up. There is a new formation that holds 10 Champions. It has an Event-specific format that I've done my best to re-create below.
New Player Formation & Specializations:
Bruenor - Shield Master
Minsc - Humanoids
Calliope - College of Lore
Nayeli - Oath of Devotion
Asharra - Elves & Dwarves
Jarlaxle - Leader of Bregan D'aerthe
Celeste - Life Domain
Hitch - Charismatic
This formation is for the first couple of runs where you're just not going to get enough Gold to get everyone on the field, let alone level people up into their power curves. At this point, Jarlaxle is focusing on being your Primary DPS while everyone else is set up to support him. The following formation is for once you can get Hitch up into his power curve for damage and he starts outpacing Jarlaxle. You'll have to figure this out during your runs by swapping him and Jarlaxle around every now and then and seeing who's doing better in that Primary DPS slot.
Tyril - Moonbeam
Makos - Dark Blessing
Bruenor - Shield Master
Asharra - Humans
Calliope - College of Lore
Nayeli - Oath of Devotion
Jarlaxle - Leader of Bregan D'aerthe
Hitch - Charismatic
Celeste - Life Domain
Minsc - Humanoids
This formation should get you through the Event as a new player. If you have other options or think a different DPS is geared better, try it out and see what happens! Swapping DPS around like this can help you figure out what works best for you with your specific items. If you need assistance with formations, ask in the Comment section and be sure to list out what extra Champs you have so people know what to work with. These are the rough Favor values you need to reach to make a Variant (Second through Fourth missions) show as Easy in terms of Difficulty. Keep in mind that this is just a generic rating system and some Variants may be harder than others, even when they show as Easy.
Favor Level (Normal)
Favor Level (Scientific Notation)

Cost: 1,000 Bouquets Complete: Level 75 Reward: Gold Melf Chest & whatever Lathander's Favor you earned Info: Each Champion can only be used to complete 50 areas. Gaar's Notes: Not gonna lie, this could be rough if you don't have much Favor. New players will need to remove all Champions from the formation and rely on Click Damage only through the first 25 levels and then build a formation on 26 to beat this due to lack of swappable Champions. Make sure it shows as Easy before starting. Even then, maybe wait until The Problem Solvers shows as Easy as well before starting this one.
Third Mission: The Problem Solvers
Cost: 2,500 Bouquets Complete: Level 125 Reward: Gold Melf Chest & whatever Lathander's Favor you earned Info: Only Champions with an INT score of 13 or higher can be used. Gaar's Notes: Well, this is basically your introduction to Strahd as a Patron, only in an Event. Here's a list of viable Champs with those that can be used with a Feat in ():
Slot 1: Sisaspia, K'thriss, & Turiel
Slot 2: Regis & (Celeste)
Slot 3: Artemis
Slot 4: Jarlaxle, Paultin, & Stoki
Slot 5: Dhadius, Xander, & Qillek
Slot 6: Asharra, Krond, & Shandie
Slot 7: Jim, Catti-Brie, & Farideh
Slot 8: Delina, Vlahnya, Hitch, & (Nrakk)
Slot 9: Makos, Morgaen, Birdsong, & (Drizzt)
Slot 10: Tyril & (Rosie)
Slot 11: Strix, Dragonbait, & Avren
Slot 12: Melf, (Zorbu), & (Nerys)
If you don't have a viable formation after this restriction, stock up on Favor before attempting. Get it to Easy, or even better, get Wheat From the Chaff to show as Easy before starting. As a brand new player who may only have Core Champs and Melf, you may end up at a point where your Champs just aren't doing damage. At that point, try leveling up your Click Damage. Normally I don't recommend this, but I beat it that way on my gearless account with Core/Melf in the formation. So keep it open as an option.
Fourth Mission: Wheat From the Chaff
Cost: 5,000 Bouquets Complete: Level 175 Reward: Gold Melf Chest & whatever Lathander's Favor you earned Info: Melf starts out in the formation with Melf's Righteous Determination unlocked. Only enemies that Melf deems evil can be damaged. Blockers, bosses, and boss trash mobs are always deemed evil. All non-evil enemies are invulnerable and can not even be attacked. Gaar's Notes: Oof. Make sure you have a reliable tank for this one because they're going to get some work. Do not attempt this before it shows as Easy if you're new. This is going to be difficult without AoE DPS options. It's also going to take a long time... (pssst...set up your formation, level up your Champs, place familiars to level them up if you can, then go offline...) If you're brand new and only have Core/Evergreen Champs plus Melf, here's a formation setup that should help get you through the early levels until you can get another tank in front. Basically, you're splitting damage between two Champs to help you die slower. Bruenor has his Overhwelm Feat slotted while Nayeli is in Devotion spec and Calliope is in Lore spec to increases survivability. Good luck!
Cost: 500-2500 Bouquets Complete: Level 50 to earn a random Melf chest Reward: See above + whatever Lathander's Favor you earned Info: No restrictions.
Recruit Melf - 1% Recruit Melf, the Elf Wizard/Fighter Melf's Vigorous Variants - 1% Complete all three variants of the "The Endless War (Melf)" adventure. Melf's Marvelous Equipment - 1% Obtain a piece of gear for each of Melf's six equipment slots. (Event Champ gear does not come from regular SilveGold Chests. You can earn Event Champ gear from their specific Event Chests, Time Gates, and other limited-time Chests as noted.) Melf's Free Play Slog - 1% Complete area 275 in any "The Endless War" free play. Melf's "Broken" RNG - 1% Complete 200 consecutive areas with Melf's Speedy Supplement providing the same buff.
IT Pro Tuesday #105 - Discovery & Mapping, Video Tutorials, Linux Admin & More
Welcome back to IT Pro Tuesday! This week, we’re looking for your favorite tips to share with the community. Please let us know those that help you do things more easily so you get better at your job! As always, we’re updating the full list on our website here. Enjoy. But on with this week's tools...! Here are the most-interesting items that have come across our desks, laptops and phones this week. EveryCloud has no known affiliation with any of these unless we explicitly state otherwise. Popular Repost: Tool Nmap (Network Mapper) is an open-source utility for network discovery and security auditing. Can be useful for network inventory, managing service upgrade schedules, and monitoring host or service uptime. Uses raw IP packets in novel ways to determine what hosts are available on the network, what services they are offering, what OS versions they are running, what type of packet filters/firewalls are in use and much more. Runs on all major operating systems, and official binary packages are available for Linux, Windows and Mac OS X. Nmap suite includes an advanced GUI and results viewer, a flexible data transfer, redirection and debugging tool, a utility for comparing scan results and a packet generation and response analysis tool. heroz0r suggests it as an "alternative to the PingTools, AngryIPScanner, etc." A Free Tool Flying Squirrel was developed by the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory for real-time discovery, analysis and mapping of IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n wireless networks. Features integrated visualization and mapping and post-hoc analysis capabilities. 11bztaylor describes it as, "not absolutely amazing, but not bad. Used it awhile back when I worked as GS. Did what we needed it to do." Tutorials Jeff Geerling's YouTube channel features some great tutorials on Drupal, Ansible, K8s, tech, DIY, tools and more. DenizenEvil tells us, "I've been watching his Ansible series, super informative." Another Free Tool Linux Automation is a Lopi/Linux wrapper script to automate common system administration tasks. Our thanks go to CoronationStreetFan1 for pointing us to this one. A Tip Building on a previous tip of right-clicking while dragging a file to another location, (which gives you an option to either copy or move it), Frothyleet adds: “If you are left-click-dragging, holding shift will toggle between the default (i.e., move toggles to copy for same-volume, copy toggles to move for different volumes)." Dear all, Over the last few weeks we have seen an overwhelming number of new posts and comments around the recently passed anti-abortion laws in Alabama et al., and the growing concern of many that other conservative states in the US might follow that example. We as moderator team want to support you in whichever way we can; and have therefore collected an overview of current options. As a general remark, please note that none of us is omniscient, and neither are we legal experts. So please take all suggestions, advice and recommendations as a collected efforts of involved individuals. If you find yourself pregnant and looking for advice on how to deal with it before getting an abortion, please refer to our wiki on how to deal with disclosing the fact. (Shoutout to sethra007 for the contribution on compiling the information therein). Should you find yourself in a state where abortion has been made illegal, and you are looking to get an out-of-state abortion, it is of crucial importance not to disclose the pregnancy to anyone (let alone the father, if you are 110% sure you are on the same side - but even that is debatable). You don't want to find yourself on the receiving end of an infanticide lawsuit. You can reach out to the Auntie Network (/auntienetwork), a group of helpers taking you to and from abortion clinics while making sure you have a 'good time' and plenty of pictures to show for on instagram with your distant aunt that you've been visiting (hence the name). When interacting with the network, either on reddit or via facebook, please be careful and don't disclose more information than needed. Use a throwaway account, burner phones etc. - You never know to what length anti-abortionists might go to infiltrate them and cause harm to you. Stay safe out there. Please note that we as /childfree are not directly affiliated with the sub, but strongly support their mission and have as such made the decision to ignore our own rule of not endorsing other subs. They deserve all the support they can get, and then some! The sidebar on /auntienetwork also has a great many resources on how to obtain abortion inducing pills and related items, so I won't list them out here again. If you want to support the good fight, Imchildfree has compiled a great list of methods you can do to help in this post here that I will just copy below to have one full and conclusive resource; but please also check out the comments for some related discussions.
1.) Contact your nearest abortion clinic and volunteer to be a patient escort. 2.) Volunteer with organizations on the ground, such as Planned Parenthood and NARAL. 3.) Donate to the National Network of Abortion funds. And locate the funds that are in the states being targeted. 4.) Protest! You want to protest? There are a shit ton of legislators out there who voted for this bullshit. They own businesses, they have offices. Take a couple friends and set up a meeting. Protest the churches the plant protesters on abortion clinic sidewalks. Protest the clinics that lie to patients to talk them out of abortions. 5.) Write in Letters to the Editor! I’ve seen so many garbage anti-choice LTE’s, it’s time we turned the tide. Write in to big newspapers, small newspapers, online publications- whatever there is. Get your message out. 6.) Speak about it! We have to get rid of abortion stigma and shame. When we are willing to be vocal and stand up for reproductive autonomy, we give others the courage to do so as well. Abortion is normal. Abortion is moral. Get rid of stigmatized language. 7.) Be inclusive; it is not just women who seek out abortions. Trans men, non-binary folks, gender fluid- there are a plethora of people out there who don’t identify as women that are just as impacted by this legislation. We are all in this fight together, and we can’t leave anyone behind. 8.) Talk to your legislators, as local as they get, and make sure they are pro-choice. Every office and every candidate matters, and if they are going to shy away from abortion when they’re little, they sure as shit won’t be on your side when they move on up. 9.) Run for office. Volunteer for publicly pro-choice candidates. 10.) Volunteer to sign up people to vote. 11.) Support the people on the ground already doing the work. There are so many folks out there that have been tirelessly doing this work and their knowledge and experience is invaluable. 12.) Be patient with the frustrations of those who have been in the movement for a long time. Many of them, for years, have been screaming that this was going to happen and they needed y’all to help. Now it’s happened and it can be very frustrating to see so many folks acting surprised and NOW wanting to get involved. Give some grace. 13.) Tell your own abortion story at The 1 in 3 campaign. 14.) Research and sign online petitions to stop these bans. 15.) Check out the clinic support network. 16.) Research which politicians are passing these laws and call them out. 17.) Stock up on emergency contraception. You can get it for 11 dollars on Amazon. 18.) Thank the production companies that have boycotted Georgia. And find out what ones haven't and tell them to. 19.) If you can, have a polite dialogue with your anti choice acquaintances about how these laws are going to destroy people's lives. If you need convincing arguments for the prochoice side, here are a few: ARCC-CDAC, NBC News, The Atlantic, Project Syndicate 20.) Quit treating abortion as a tragic event. It is a common, necessary medical procedure that women need. Not everyone is traumatized by it. 21.) Keep organizations like Aid Access, that ship abortion pills to women in America, in your mind. 22.) Buy this book. 23.) Register to vote. 24.) Donate to the organization carafem that is working to build other clinics in other states across the country. 25.) Tell the people in your life to get involved. 26.) GET STERILIZED! Search the information on this site about doctors. I don't care if you are gay. I don't care if you are a man. I don't care if you are celibate. Rape happens. Women trick men into thinking they are on birth control. Accidents happen. GET STERILIZED! 27.) Tell those in your life that want to have kids to get on a form of birth control like an IUD or arm implant. These last a long time, are very effective, cannot be forgotten like the pill, and can always be taken out. And tell them to double up on birth control. Use barrier methods of birth control like condoms and diaphragms along with hormonal. 28.) Fight gerrymandering. Many of these officials are being elected this way. 29.) If you have a blog or youtube channel, make blogposts and videos about these attacks to alert people. 30.) Print and save this guide for using abortion pills. And make copies and share them. 31.) Practice self-care to avoid burnout. 32.) Realize that this fight is long term. We are not going to turn this around overnight. Start thinking of this as a years long battle. 33.) And last but not least, DON'T GIVE UP HOPE!
And as a final note: We didn't start this thread to silence you, only to consolidate. If you still want to start your own post on a related matter, please do! /childfree is your place to rant, vent, discuss and seek for advice. Any and all constructive posts are and will always be welcome. Your moderator team Edit: Cleaned up the links to increase readability.

IT Pro Tuesday #78 - Cheat Sheet Collection, Keyboard Shortcuts, Network Mapper & More
Hello ITProTuesday, We're looking for fantastic IT-related podcasts to share with the community. Please reply to the email or leave a comment with your favorites, and we'll be featuring them in the coming weeks. And remember you can always find the full list on our website here. Enjoy. But on with this week's tools...! Here are the most-interesting items that have come across our desks, laptops, and phones this week. As always, EveryCloud has no known affiliation with any of these unless we explicitly state otherwise. Cheat Sheets PacketLife Cheat Sheets is a miscellaneous collection of helpful cheat sheets. A fantastic resource pointed out by heroz0r, who specifically appreciates the featured cheat sheets for Wireshark, IPv4 subnetting and network protocols like BGP, EIGRP, OSPF etc. A Free Tool Nmap (Network Mapper) is an open-source utility for network discovery and security auditing. Can be useful for network inventory, managing service upgrade schedules and monitoring host or service uptime. Uses raw IP packets in novel ways to determine what hosts are available on the network, what services they offer, what OS versions they're running, what type of packet filters/firewalls are in use and much more. Runs on all major operating systems, and official binary packages are available for Linux, Windows and Mac OS X. Nmap suite includes an advanced GUI and results viewer; a flexible data transfer, redirection and debugging tool; a utility for comparing scan results and a packet generation and response analysis tool. Another suggestion from heroz0r, who suggests it as an "alternative to the PingTools, AngryIPScanner, etc." A Tip Thanks go to zeroibis, boli99 and Krejar for these keyboard shortcuts:
Shift + Insert—a lesser-know option for paste
Ctrl + Shift + v—paste as plain text (only works in some applications)
Another Free Tool Specops Password Auditor scans your Active Directory to identify password-related vulnerabilities. Generates multiple interactive reports containing user and password policy information. Recommended by SYSOX, who explains: "It showed me a few accounts in my AD that had an attribute set to let them bypass the password policy and have a blank password. I was able to export the accounts to a txt file and run a powershell to resolve this... whole process took under 20 mins." Another Tip Some Powershell shortcuts, also compliments of heroz0r:
CTRL + R—Search your command history
Test-ComputerSecureChannel -Repair—Verifies that the channel between the local computer and its domain is working correctly by checking the status of its trust relationships. If a connection fails, you can use the Repair parameter to try to restore it.

Mirror Trading International | Online Articles about Mirror Trading International
Mirror Trading International – Have you done a search on Google to find out about Mirror Trading International? The results are normally articles that question the existence and business of Mirror Trading International. I am not a financial advisor, so I am unable to give any advice and the following article should not be considered financial advice. I share my opinion and it is up to you to make your own conclusion. Mirror Trading International These are answers that I give people who ask the following common questions. I try to be as factual as possible, but in many cases my opinion based on logic has been added. So let’s look at the questions: Does Mirror Trading International rely on pyramid style recruitment to get new members? No, Mirror Trading International is not a pyramid scheme. Mirror Trading International has an optional affiliate program where you can earn a referral commission of 10%. Pyramid style recruitment plans are designed to attract lots of members quickly to keep the pyramid scheme afloat. If schemes cannot double their membership every month they will typically fail quicker than expected. Let me explain what a typical pyramid recruitment plan looks like: they will pay 10% direct, 5% 2nd level, 3% 3rd level, 1% 4th level and 1% 5th level. When you see this kind of plan, it is almost always a pyramid. In terms of membership Mirror Trading International has just more than 7000 members after 8 months. In the first month they had 500 members, and if they needed members to sustain the business they should have had at least 64000 by now to sustain any sort of scheme. Does Johann Steynberg have trading experience. Johann Steynberg the CEO of Mirror Trading International is exactly that, the Chief Executive Officer. To my knowledge he has been involved in investments and trading, but is not a master trader, therefore in his position as CEO he has selected the experienced traders. Johan has negotiated that these traders look after the EA Software, ensuring that the results are consistent. This question actually makes me laugh, it is like expecting the CEO of an airline to also fly the planes on a daily basis. Is Mirror Trading International registered with the Financial Services authority in South Africa or Internationally? The objective of MTI is to grow your Bitcoin, therefore all trading and balances are shown in Bitcoin, your investment is never exchanged for normal currency (FIAT) and always remains in Bitcoin. Bitcoin is not regulated as it is not considered to be electronic money according to the law. Therefore it is not possible to become registered with the authorities as they do not accept Bitcoin as legal tender. MTI would need to take deposits in FIAT currency if they were registered and then the registration would prevent them from trading in Bitcoin. Over and above that, the financial authority would not allow the type of returns that MTI gets for its members. Is Mirror Trading International operating illegally? No, they are registered as Mirror Trading International (PTY) LTD in South Africa and the Registration Number is 2019/205570/07. They are a fully legal entity and Johann Steynberg is the responsible Director, therefore should anything happen to MTI, Johann Steynberg would be solely responsible. The fact that MTI has members in over 100 countries also means that he could be summoned to any court internationally, should some type of fraud occur. The legal team of MTI ensure that MTI is 100% legally compliant. What evidence is there of real trading taking place? Mirror Trading International is prevented from showing live trades due to their licensing agreement with the EA Software providers. This is the fact that makes most investors nervous and it is good to do a risk assessment based on the historical results. The current historical results, as at 24 January 2020, utilising the EA system are as follows: Total Trading Days: 134 Total Profit made by Members (40% of the Daily Trading Results): 72.0016% Daily average Profit made by members: 0.5373% Total Binary Profit Sharing with Affiliates (20% of Daily Trading Results): 36.0008% If MTI was a scheme, 7000 members would not be sufficient to support the profits paid to date. Therefore my conclusion is that the trading is real. Profits are derived from the trading activities, and members receive personal statements the following day detailing every trade placed. These could be compared to the previous day’s trades should you wish to take the time to do this. The reality is that Mirror Trading International is going to be around for a long time and there is no need to rush in quickly hoping you are going to make something. My experience is that you will grow your Bitcoin with Mirror Trading International and even if the Bitcoin price never rises significantly above the current level your Bitcoin will be growing. In time you will have a good number of Bitcoin more than when you started, thus you will have more value as you have more Bitcoin. Therefore should the price of Bitcoin increase significantly or not, you will still have more value in your investment.
Hey guys, I just thought I'd drop a line about about my current project: https://online-classes.co.uk/the-50-50-promise/ Before you think I'm using Reddit to share my project without any thought — please hear me out. I've been working in the affiliate industry for a few years now and it amazes me at how much money is made. Millions upon millions of pounds/dollars/euros/whatever in profit are generated monthly just by creating simple websites. This is mainly through the gambling industry, but there are other examples (booking.com, trivago.com etc.) outside of betting. My background is in betting, but recently I've been working on a side-project which aims to both help better educate ourselves, but also generate money for charity. This is my first project, and I wanted to get some feedback:
Does the idea of purchasing something through a website, but also generating money for charity interest you?
How would you like the charities to be chosen?
Would you be willing to help promote the website through linking to pages on your blogs?
Yes, the third way is a way for me to generate back-links (I'm also quite a transparent person), but it's also a simple way you can support the growth of this project. The idea will be to continue building a portfolio of non-gambling, non-financial (credit cards, forex, binary options etc.) affiliate websites which, one day, will help change the world. The profits these websites can generate is incredible — I'm sure we can do something amazing. And to answer the question 'why only 50% in net profits?', well as libertarians you can appreciate that profit is a natural part of our society; this way we can deliver for future shareholders, while also delivering for society. I think it's the best blend we can ask for in the 21st century. I might be the owner of these websites, but my interests are in bettering society, not lining my own pockets. I can't prove that now, but one day I hope to prove any doubters wrong. To show I'm not just a random guy, here's my LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/althughes/ If you have feedback you'd rather leave via email, contact me on [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]). Thanks all, Ashley
Which of these industries are suitable for Black Friday Deal Campaigns?
I've analyzed and compiled a 100 industry that operates its business online. Which of these are found odd for running a Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals campaign this year? Pick the number that you feel worthless.
Disclaimer: This is my editing, which definitely reflects my personal views about the drama.
Just for those who don't have time to scroll the discord and want to have a quick glance about this drama.
12/11 David SønstebøYesterday at 8:23 PM We are progressing well David SønstebøYesterday at 8:27 PM @Werner Today's medium post by the Semkos explain why it did not happen. We as a non-profit Foundation who has the mandate of developing an open source permissionless technology could not sign a unilateral NDA with a for-profit company. Today's blog post by the Semkos really reveal why they wanted this, they plan to patent technology. WernerYesterday at 8:28 PM Patented technology has a way harder way to reach global standards... David SønstebøYesterday at 8:28 PM It never will. David SønstebøYesterday at 8:30 PM The Semkos failing to get patents won't affect IOTA. David SønstebøYesterday at 8:31 PM It seems Nikita is Economic Clustering (they even use this term), so it's prior art. David SønstebøYesterday at 8:48 PM I have consistently defended the Semko brothers against accusations that they are exploiting our community with the intent of backstabbing it. We have offered the Semkos flexible positions in the IOTA Foundation to compensate for their work, which they have declined. We have always held both Roman and Vitaly in high regard, but knowing the 'behind the scenes', reading today's blog post and their Phybr website, leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth. They have made a name for themselves and got followers based solely on IOTA, and now they are going in the direction of trying to patent what is by all signs IOTA prior art. They also explicitly state that they intend to support 'multiple coins'. This looks like classical manipulation of the community, keep mentioning IOTA enough to keep the community interested in what they are doing, while in reality attempting to disrupt the same community. Open Source lives and die by its communities. Now that the ICO craze has finally faded, it is time to consolidate around projects, not to fragment them. To be sure, whatever Phybr is, it does not threaten IOTA, IOTA is lightyears ahead of anything they could even theoretically have, even piggybacking on IOTA's work, but it is a distraction and confusion for the community. Given that they have now revealed that they do intend to patent their technology and have refused all attempts at official collaboration, I hereby advice the community to be very skeptical of the Semko's intentions until they prove that all their promises (which they have even accepted donations for) of working to increase the adoption of IOTA are true. WakanDanYesterday at 8:58 PM They had this strategy before asking for a meeting. This was all a PR stunt after all David SønstebøYesterday at 9:10 PM @RicardRoyo Not at all, they can't patent prior art. Let me make this clear: IF has always valued the Semkos as community members, but they are not in any shape, way or form critical to anything related to IOTA's success. However, them piggybacking on the IOTA brand (they even renamed to DevIOTA when starting work on Nikita) and causing confusion and disruption in the community, is not something we can support. Mr GlassYesterday at 9:16 PM David, do you think they maybe would use the meeting to claim to be authors of their idea, which is probably very close to CfBs EC? With a NDA signed you could get in trouble for doing similar work, right? David SønstebøYesterday at 9:17 PM @Mr Glass I won't speculate on what their intentions were with the unilateral NDA. David SønstebøYesterday at 9:21 PM @Deep_Sea_Hopper I highly doubt that scenario. EC is known, EC is implemented in code etc. I am not at all worried about that. What I dislike is distraction and fragmentation of community, which is why I am forced to take a harder stance right now. IOTA made the Semkos, and now the Semkos look like they are exploiting this trust and support that you - the IOTA community - have given them. Roman's latest tweet re: Coordicide is quite revealing, they were offered to work together with our vast team, with very good salaries, on Coordicide, but instead they elected to decline that under the guise of wanting to be 'independent', which is fine, but now it is made obvious that this independence is less about creating a thriving and healthy community, but more about maximizing profits. In general, there is nothing wrong with a for-profit model, within IOTA there are tons of for-profit opportunities, but when they start talking about patenting consensus and piggybacking on their trust within IOTA to also on the side 'support multiple coins', that enters an uncomfortable territory for me. citrullinYesterday at 9:25 PM @David Sønstebø Hi David. I talked to some people about this. And I don't have a good feeling about the Semkos things either. But some people mentioned concerns about the ternary and the whole story behind it. (I don't think that a lot of people question ternary itself, more the incensive and private company behind it). I think it's more the intransparency about everything regarding this topic. So, from my perspective, I think it would help to be more transparent about this topic to strenghten the IOTA community. Especially the IOTA developer community. But, of course, I can understand when there are valid reasons against it. I just want to tell your my opinion. I currently see a little risk of splitting the community and I don't want to see this happen. David SønstebøYesterday at 9:28 PM @citrullin Ternary is mathematically superior, this is something the universe decided on when it created itself, there's tons of research on ternary, ternary is a very hot topic in Machine Learning, and there are multiple companies developing ternary hardware in some form or another. IOTA is not 'bound' by ternary, this is a myth that seems to be spread by FUDsters. IOTA is simply optimized for that future where IoT devices need absolute optimization, for legacy binary it does not matter at all that IOTA is ternary, these devices can afford the overhead. Deep_Sea_HopperYesterday at 9:39 PM Hey, Remember when PEAQ said they were pro IOTA, weren't going to ICO, and weren't in it for the money!!! hahha JimbobYesterday at 9:39 PM @Deep_Sea_Hopper 100% we will see a fundraising effort before any whitepaper. citrullinYesterday at 9:41 PM @David Sønstebø That is totally true. I already used it on my Bluepill (STM32F1). So it's proven that we can use IOTA on small Microcontroller. My statement was not about any technical facts. Not questioned that at all. It's more about peoples feelings. Especially trust. Since not everything is transparent, people might fear that the IOTA protocols design decisions are based on commercial interests. So, I hope you understand why this is currently more present than ever. In context of the Semko brothers. So, it might give people more trust in IOTA to be more transparent, open about this topic. KiLLuYesterday at 9:42 PM @David Sønstebø are there any plans to do a board ama again on youtube? The last was a few months ago, so i think there is a lot to say. David SønstebøYesterday at 9:44 PM @citrullin Thanks for the support. IOTA has always been about pushing the boundary for the future. We do have a ternary series planned that explain why we chose ternary, the history of ternary, ternary vs binary vs *ary, what the current status of ternary in the wider industry is etc. But that requires time @WakanDan To be honest, the Semko drama is not significant to the IOTA program or project. It's about how they are using you - the community - the IOTA Foundation has never depended on the Semkos for anything. So I won't be making any tweets from my account about it, this is a community matter. @KiLLu YES WASSIMATHIMNI[FREE CARLOS]Yesterday at 9:45 PM Community sent them raspberry pis for their own profit What a shame David SønstebøYesterday at 9:51 PM Sure, my sentiment has always been that Open Source is dependent on communities, so I will always fight for the rights of the community that has built around IOTA. The community deserves to know if they are being exploited or not. However, when it comes to this specific matter, I am not going to throw gasoline on the fire on twitter, as twitter is more external. I am not at all worried about the industry or investors seeing this, I mean all it shows is that the IOTA Foundation has been working to support the community and assist community developers. DariusYesterday at 10:01 PM David said it yesterday in context of the NDA thing. Te IF feels committed to the “contract” with the community to stay focused on open source. In the same way, the Semkos may have entered a “contract” (not legally speaking, just morally) with the community members that donated to them to contribute directly to the Iota protocol. If now people feel that this “contract” is breached by the Semkos, the community should get together, form one voice and express their opinion publicly. No need for the IF to get into that imho. HagiYesterday at 10:02 PM not planning any ICO and saying "not our prioretiy at this moment" are basically different shoes lol Deep_Sea_HopperYesterday at 10:08 PM I think many people forget as well; though Nelson helped bring attention and grow the community, Nelson actually works against the Tangle and is not in the vision of the IF. Even though CFB discussed this with Semko, they kept straight on their path disregarding the big vision. Not to take away from them... they helped the community grow, but the truth is they always kind of did their own thing and disregarded the Tangles vision. Deep_Sea_HopperYesterday at 10:11 PM I believe it was that Nelson doesn't consider topology, and because it constantly changes neighbors. Topology of the network should be in a way geographical I guess, rather than criss-crossing around the world. I'm not that technical, so I'm sure I'm messing it up. Also, I believe Field created an issue as well... can't remember how though. Deep_Sea_HopperYesterday at 10:14 PM It solves the immediate issue of maintaining good neighbors... but I think as the Tangle evolves there will be a replacement or simply it will fade away. Just my guess HagiYesterday at 10:16 PM Semkoin? limo_tangleblogYesterday at 10:16 PM I received them yesterday. KiLLuYesterday at 10:16 PM so they dont a own ico but selling icos limo_tangleblogYesterday at 10:17 PM anonymously of course, sheds a different light on all of this. Deep_Sea_HopperYesterday at 10:18 PM The other thing is, everyone thinks Semko Brothers are amazing! and the community is lost without them. They are good for sure, but hey, there have been many Semko's... thing is, they actually decided to work for the IF because they believe in the vision. Semko didn't believe in the mission, so he stayed as a non-affiliated community member. Which means, there will be another Semko in the community, just as Microhash came after him. Microhash joined the IF.. and soon there will be another amazing community member. And at some point the IF won't be able to hire more employees... hahaha David SønstebøYesterday at 10:21 PM @PergamumTJ All the tokens were up for sale, not a single iota was 'premined' for anyone Now that https://twitter.com/tangleblog/status/1072116857912680449 Tangleblog.com (@tangleblog) @RomanSemko @benjamim Well, pardon me, no ICO (your website indeed states that) it's a separate coin (Semkoin), it has, apparently, been shared with many VC's weeks ago, and your website has been created in November. I received that presentation anonymously yesterday, incl... Twitter Has come to light, I feel that the truth is out. The Semkos has clearly been talking with two tongues. t00kYesterday at 10:22 PM @limo_tangleblog are you sure these "prints" are real? HagiYesterday at 10:22 PM lol if thats not a fake, im losing the faith in humanity limo_tangleblogYesterday at 10:25 PM if it's fake? we will see when the Semkos react, that's the reason I shared them publicly under our discussion on twitter. If it's fake, I apologize, if not, everything is said and done. Grobian - IOTAshops.comYesterday at 10:29 PM A community can build you, but a community can also tear you down. Just saying. I don‘t know if it‘s a smart move to fool such a big and enthusiastic community. ricardosnowYesterday at 10:30 PM It's true that he always seems friendly. However he never told us about their agenda. People donated to him thinking that was for the benefit of IOTA itself as an open source, and that's sad. I didn't donate, but if i did I would like to receive the money back. Slavik ButalikYesterday at 10:31 PM i want my field donation from last season already, give it to the sheeps and then uninstall field and nelson. capre IOTAYesterday at 10:32 PM So basically people who donated with iota tokens, did devaluate their own coin in a way, with supporting the semko's. BuckfuddyYesterday at 10:33 PM Semko already losing followers on twitter David SønstebøYesterday at 10:33 PM I encourage everyone to be civil, and remember that even though this is upsetting, it does not affect IOTA in the slightest. IOTA has never depended on the Semkos. I have always defended the two based on believing that their intentions were honest, but I can't fault the community for feeling betrayed after this. You can't mislead a whole community and piggyback on it to make a name for yourself, and then go behind their back and expect them not to be upset. The good thing is that this Semko-fiasco over the last days has brought the community together to reject this sort of exploitation of itself. This is healthy. PatriQYesterday at 10:34 PM @David Sønstebø Do not worry about IOTA reputation, facts are out now, nothing to worry about...its clear 2pacYesterday at 11:31 PM @muXxer and people are free to criticize them for how they go about it muXxerYesterday at 11:32 PM But i hate this negative witch hunt everytime Jacq IOTAYesterday at 11:32 PM I believe many people are duped into donating to them. They aren't forthcoming about their goals before accepting other people's donations. citrullinYesterday at 11:34 PM @Jacq IOTA That is what I crisis them for. And I understand why the people feel like the Semkos just used them. Deep_Sea_HopperYesterday at 11:34 PM MuXer... it doesn't worry me, and I actually am glad the IF has a little bit of competition. What I hate about the whole crypto-space is the lies and misleading social media posts. Such as: we won't ICO, we don't want to be like them.... then truth comes out and they are going for the money David SønstebøYesterday at 11:37 PM @muXxer The community is pissed off precisely because it seems what the Semkos were planning was actually fragmentation of the community, rather than consolidation No one is pissed at the Semkos for doing for-profit ventures on the side MuanhYesterday at 11:39 PM I mean that is even how semkos started. They wanted to create a for profit iota hardware wallet but needed autopeering So thats why they created nelson t00kYesterday at 11:39 PM They are allowed to do other stuff, and you too, of course. I think people feel deceived when they donate (either money or Pi's) thinking it would be useful for the community. And then weekly updates with how good it goes, that they are gonna meet up with the IF.. Then all of a sudden Semkoin drops MuanhYesterday at 11:39 PM But they said or where implying they were creating a new consensus algo for iota and accepting donations for it the donation part is the important part David SønstebøYesterday at 11:44 PM This drama was unfortunately real. ICOs and Trojan horsing ones way into a community under the guise of supporting it, when the real intent is actually fragmenting that community into a separate patented for-profit network, is not how one achieves a standardized open permissionless ledger. The ICO nonsense of 2017 set the entire cryptospace back over a year. I am very happy to see that the community takes a strong stance against that. Trill Pill [Roman Scamko fan]Yesterday at 11:46 PM roman and his brother should refund any donations theyve received, what kinda fucking business practice is to accept donations from community members under the premise that youll develop for this community and then change course and do your own thing but keep the donation, honorless bullshit https://twitter.com/tangleblog/status/1072116857912680449https://twitter.com/tangleblog/status/1072117068277927936https://twitter.com/tangleblog/status/1072117319537778689 WakanDanYesterday at 11:48 PM Thanks @limo_tangleblog for sharing the investor deck. It's a real shame they tried to mask their true agenda. Their comments today remind me of the saying "It takes many good deeds to build a good reputation, and only one bad one to lose it." What makes IOTA great in my opinion is our community, partnerships, superior tech, vision and the growing IF team of talents (and spec). I don't know any other project capable of boasting of all of these. Some may try to seek short-term gain, regardless of potential impact to the community, but this shouldn't distract us from IOTA's vision and valuing what we have. citrullinYesterday at 11:50 PM @muXxer That's not the point. But accepting donations, tweeting about: Hey, we need some Pis, in hope that the community will donates some etc. is not a nice way to do that. As it looks like, they used the Pis just for they own profits. I understand why people are not happy about this. Come-from-BeyondToday at 12:03 AM @muXxer For me it seems some people are pissed because they do for profit stuff There are nuances. When I saw that fancy GIF with the Semko testing their variant of consensus on Tangle I liked it, because it looked exactly as Economic Clustering. Their reinvention of EC means validation of my work. I didn't patent EC because I wanted the whole mankind to benefit from my invention. But then I got info that the Semko are patenting the tech. And are planning to earn money on that. Isn't it normal that I'm a little bit upset with how the things unfolded? Now I'm waiting for their patent details to be published, if their tech is actually EC then I'm afraid we'll see more drama. Because I want the tech to be kept in the public domain. David SønstebøToday at 12:05 AM Of course Semko is no threat This is not about that David SønstebøToday at 12:07 AM Of course @gusp There's been numerous clones of IOTA already, all are dead David SønstebøToday at 12:08 AM The Semko's got exposed to the community before they could fragment the community. So the threat is over. capre IOTAToday at 12:08 AM If your not being cloned, ur doing something wrong. AconitinToday at 12:09 AM @David Sønstebø I'm not in legal, so I wonder - What would happen to the IOTA development if the Semkos patented EC? Wouldn't it forbid IF's further development on the technology then? David SønstebøToday at 12:09 AM @Aconitin You don't get prior art patents Trill Pill [Roman Scamko fan]Today at 12:10 AM All the raspberry pis, iota and money thats been donated to them should be refunded, because of their dishonesty about their true intentions the iota community essentially funded a competetior, they're scammers in my eyes, saying theyll develop for iota and then doing the opposite was a false premise for everyone that was kind enough to donate resources and they mustve known they were lying for a while alreeady David SønstebøToday at 12:11 AM This is untrue. The Ecosystem Dev Fund was not yet legally set up, which we informed the Semkos of. Furthermore, a prerequisite of EDF grant is that your work is open source, theirs is not. Come-from-BeyondToday at 12:14 AM @w4lker [semkofork liason] [could the patent legally prohibit d IF to work anymore on EC's?] The prior art already exists on Tangle (couldn't resist temptation to protect my know-how, as usual  ), but proving that involves a lot of legal work. Deep_Sea_HopperToday at 12:16 AM @Buckfuddy at the time Field wasn't open-sourced. Even on discord IF dev's asked Roman to open-source the code. He kept stating he was cleaning the code. David SønstebøToday at 12:18 AM @Matin That paragraph summarizes this whole endeavor beautifully. When did the Board ever say that a line of their code was ours? Never. We have stated the fact that the Semkos built their name on the IOTA community, branded themselves as "IOTA Dev" and"Tangle Researchers" when they began work on Nikita, they have continuously communicated on Twitter that they are working on different ways to optimize the Tangle etc. etc. etc. This incessant lying after today's revelations makes it impossible for me to take them serious. This blatant lie is just as bad as the misleading of the community that they did. Come-from-BeyondToday at 12:20 AM @diskings Are there actions that can be done right now... dunno, I'm busy with coding Ict and other stuff, waiting for the patent and then sending C&D letter seems to be the cheapest option now David SønstebøToday at 12:20 AM The Semkos were never in IOTA's roadmap, we have very solid paths to Coordicide and have a dozen researchers working on the most optimized direction Come-from-BeyondToday at 12:21 AM I hope they will be honest with potential investors and warn them about the risk of IP infringement... raphiToday at 12:21 AM @David Sønstebø did any of you ever see a line of their code? David SønstebøToday at 12:22 AM @raphi No. AFAIK, no one has. We respected them as community members prior to today, but they have never even been remotely equated into anything R&D IOTA-wise. FredericToday at 12:23 AM @David Sønstebø Sorry for disrupting semkoin drama... Will the ~95 non-chosen brainstorm submissions be published by IF? They might be a solid base for lots of community projects in 2019. Would it be even possible to apply for ecosystem fund and implement someones idea (open source) ? David SønstebøToday at 12:23 AM @Frederic Yes they will, and yes. David SønstebøToday at 12:25 AM There is really nothing more to discuss. The Semko brothers got exposed, they exploited the community, and continue to lie in their 'clarification blog post'. As far as I am concerned, they are history. Per Lind 2.0 Deep_Sea_HopperToday at 12:30 AM David, I remember you writing a great blog post about what was completed in 2017, milestones etc., and a very general outlook on 2018. Will you do another 2018 recap article similar to the 2017 one? David SønstebøToday at 12:31 AM @Deep_Sea_Hopper 2018 Year in review, 2019 Year in preview yup David SønstebøToday at 12:34 AM Me pointing out the objective fact that the Semkos are demonstrably lying about IF board statements in their desperate damage control campaign takes me approximately ~5 seconds, that does not at all stress me. If anything, I am relieved that the community found the truth and thus the confusion over the Semkos is history, making IOTA's community more focused and no longer vulnerable to being confused. Come-from-BeyondToday at 12:37 AM Does anyone know if the Semko control that autopeering service? I'd like to remind that I warned against using it. I sent a whitepaper to @Vitaly Semko asking to change it logic (which was ignored). Now, when it's clear that the Semko used IOTA mainnet as a testnet for their Phybr project, maybe we'll reconsider our approach to node peering? svenger87Today at 12:40 AM [I read anywhere it finds the truth in 100ms] @Marc Lopresti CFB debunked it already with the speed of light IOTA IS KING! 👑Today at 12:47 AM 2 devs looking for their own financial gain vs group of scientists, engineers and other qualified individuals trying to implement an open universal standard for all. GeorgeToday at 12:47 AM Do you think Semkos have patented EC? If that is true, the meeting with IF was a trap. Ralf Rottmann [IF]Today at 12:47 AM I just now learned about the SemkoDev pitch deck and the idea to create a SemkoCoin / ICO as a segue-way to building their own brand on the working body that has been established by this community. Now I finally understand the motivation behind trying to trick me into signing a unilateral NDA, with fines for just one of the two parties and making it super difficult getting two of the founders into the meeting remotely. So far, I had perceived Roman as a very reasonable person and was wondering, why making this so complicated. Well, if one plans to exploit the IOTA community for your own at least questionable ICO all along, it suddenly explains just everything. One less question-mark, although a sad one. Wonder how potential investors see this and what it means for IP related claims down the line. David SønstebøToday at 12:55 AM The only threat that existed was the community continuing to be exploited, that is no longer possible. So the whole saga is really over. Roman SemkoToday at 3:13 AM I will say it here once, and will not discuss. As know there are plenty of maximalists in the community which will not react to any reasoning. I truly hoped that IOTA community was different. Yes, we are working on commercial projects besides IOTA. This should not be a surprise. It was even communicated at our last call with David almost two months ago. Our aim was to find a way to apply our know-how to IOTA on a fair basis. This was also the reason why we postponed any PoCs we planned related to Nikita as far as we could. As the meeting with IF was cancelled, due to time constraints, and after announcements that IF probably has a 4th solution for the coordinator, we had to accept the PoC. This has nothing to do with IOTA. It is not an ICO and I do not see it as a competition to IOTA. For us, it’s our daily business. The deck? Yes, you somehow have to present a potential party the way how this new project could be sustainably financed. What is wrong with that? Regarding our IP: it is our IP and is NOT based on any work done by IF. It will be obvious soon enough. Latest, when we publish the details and open-source our work. Obviously, we cannot rely just on cooperation with IF and had to take measures in case we will be applying Nikita on commercial PoCs. Exactly this is what happened. I understand the emotions in the community, people fearing competition, fearing the fate of their own investments. I understand founders’ fear of competition and a better product. Steps have to be taken to discredit other’s work and reputation. We have been there before when IOTA was shitstormed by other Cryptos one year ago, remember? I just hope that this community was different. There is probably nothing I can say to convince everybody. A fate of public position is that whatever you do, there will be someone who does not like it. Maybe just that we still do not consider us a competition to IOTA. We still hold IOTA and want to continue development of IOTA-based solutions. There are no ICOs planned. And we truly hope for a productive and constructive 2019. Jacq IOTAToday at 4:07 AM Wish the people who donated to you saw the leaked slides. I am sure they want in on the “spectacular ROI”. dtToday at 4:09 AM @Roman Semko Do you plan return donations? RPi, money etc? David SønstebøToday at 4:12 AM I will write this one final response to Roman's message: Roman, you are attempting to twist reality here by pretending that you are a victim of "IOTA maximalism" for simply being for-profit. As recent as yesterday I was defending you in this very channel against the community's suspicions that you had shady intentions of exploiting the community. One of the arguments I used to defend you was that I was under the impression that your DLT for-profit activities were to strengthen IOTA's ecosystem. No person in all of IOTA has echoed the need for for-profit independent community members than I, so I encouraged people not to get carried away with fear-driven speculation and instead trust the commitments and comments you have made publicly regarding your devotion to the IOTA project that made you relevant. You declined to join the IOTA Foundation (twice) to work compensated alongside the army of researchers and engineers on Coordicide. We naturally respected this. Then we went out of our way to find some way to work professionally with you guys, not because we believe you have anything unique (random GIFs don't impress experienced researchers and engineers), but because we thought you to be valuable community contributors and dedicated developers, and we wanted to compensate that. We were met with demands of high sums based on literally GIFs; you wanted us to sign a contract without you having to disclose ANYTHING upfront. Then the unilateral NDA comes for a meeting that was intended to compare our approaches to discover whether there was synergy, so you and your brother's claims that you would of course not have proposed a unilateral NDA if both parties were going to display their approaches, is just a flat out lie. Just like your medium post today included lies about IOTA's board. You exploited the IOTA brand by renaming yourself to "IOTA Dev" and proclaiming to be "Tangle Researchers" and gaining a significant following based solely on this while behind the scenes you were circulating a pitch deck. In this secret pitch, you make false claims of having "better than IOTA" tech and talking about an entirely new token, all the while stringing the community along, accepting their donations, having them support your work under the guise of it being for IOTA. It is this betrayal that is the reason why the community is pissed off. PatriQToday at 4:14 AM @Roman Semko Just in case you didn't see the above message by David pvaldenegroToday at 4:17 AM @Roman Semko Hey Roman, its OK to make money, we all want to overcome the need to pay bills and just relax doing what we love. Those who do not get that are way lost. HOWEVER, and this is a real question. How would you feel if someone starts asking for contribution and donations to develop something that sounds like it could help the project backed by that community (i've read your entire twitter page like 5 times now, and it is without doubt a phishing move), and then come up with this NEW project that separates everything with a closed source approach? If you have no problem with that, i've (and many here) to review my judgement, because i really, really thought you shared the vision of empowering this ever growing project. Good luck on your projects, but don't do that again, it is a piece of shit move. You keep saying that IT WAS CLEAR FROM THE BEGGINING. Well my friend, i love to read, and from reading your posts, it is far from clear. Thank you anyway. This day has been interesting.

Recap: VyOS release 1.2.0 LTS, Sentrium, and Project Changes
Background VyOS 1.2.0 LTS was released on January 28th, 2019. This marks a major milestone for the project, transitioning from a base system of Debian 6 (Squeeze) which went EOL in 2016 to Debian 8 (Jessie) which is supported until 2020. The change involved a significant effort in migrating to adopt newer systems such as systemd, replacing Quagga with the newer FRR (Free Range Routing) project, and adoption of Linux kernel 4.19 LTS. The VyOS project released 1.0.0 as a fork of Vyatta 6.6R5 in December of 2013. With 1.1.0 released in October 2014, version 1.2.0 marks the third major release of VyOS, and 16th release of VyOS including minor versions over it’s 5+ years. New Features in 1.2 The majority of effort in 1.2.0 has been to preserve functionality and compatibility while significantly reworking the base system, but 1.2.0 provides a solid foundation for additional features going forward. Major changes in VyOS 1.2 include the migration to FRR, which will allow support for additional routing protocols going forward, and an immediate benefit of BGP large community support. The use of FRR will open up the ability to introduce support for IS-IS, EIGRP, and PIM in future releases. IPv6 enhancements include firewall group support, additional IPv6 firewall rule matching options (including hop-limit), and VRRPv3 support. Continued work toward rewriting the configuration management system in Python and XML (while maintaining compatibility) has allowed for the project to open up a new Python API for operational and configuration mode commands. Project Changes For business purposes lead VyOS maintainers have operated under the umbrella of Sentrium, S.L. a corporation based in Barcelona, Spain. For all intents and purposes Sentrium is "the VyOS company". Historically Sentrium has been used to handle donations and commercial support contracts for the project. Going forward, Sentrium will play a larger role. News of this is a surprise to some, and one not without some controversy, so I would like to take a moment to lay out what these changes are. Note that I have no affiliation with Sentrium, and am a VyOS project volunteer, so I can’t speak on their behalf. Firstly, Sentrium is moving to what can be described as a more permissive Red Hat model for binary ISO distribution. What this means is that a paid subscription will be required for download access to official binary VyOS releases, but the full source, including build scripts, will always remain available at no cost. In addition, the rolling nightly development builds are not restricted, so if you’re curious about VyOS and want to give it a spin these are a good option. The current pricing model for what is being called the Access Subscription comes in two flavors: Professional, and Corporate. Both subscriptions allow unlimited deployments and are simply for binary ISO access. The Professional subscription provides standard x86-64 ISO images as well as VMware OVA. The Corporate subscription adds additional optimised images for OpenStack, as well as optimised images for Dell, Supermicro, and other hardware platforms. Pricing for the Professional Access Subscription is $500 per year, and $1,500 per year for the Corporate Access Subscription. It’s important to remember that VyOS remains and Open Source project, and that access to build from source will always be available at no cost. While larger projects, such as Ubuntu, benefit from a very large and active community of contributors, the VyOS project has a much smaller audience, which means fewer contributors, and a greater demand on maintainers. This move to generate revenue from VyOS is largely in response to VyOS being a full time job for core maintainers and securing the long-term future of the project. The hope is that the Access Subscription will be seen as a value for those who can afford it and choose to make use of VyOS in production. There are still ways to get VyOS binary releases at no cost: For Non-Profits, Public Education and Research organizations, and Open Source projects, a no-cost VyOS Access Subscription is available (application required). If you fall into one of these categories but can still afford a $500 yearly access subscription, you’re encouraged to do so, as it will help keep VyOS viable, but if $500 is a lot of money to you, then this program is a good option. If you’re an individual, then project contributors (not only coders, but documentation writers, etc.) can apply to have a contributor Access Subscription (this requires actively contributing to the project to maintain). For business customers, Sentrium also offers support and maintenance contracts, as well as professional services (consulting, configuration migration, etc). Many businesses have a policy of not running systems in production that don’t have an active support contract. If you’re one of these, then this option is for you. I won’t go into detail on pricing for support, but pricing begins at $600 per year, per instance (with a 20% discount for 3 year term). Higher tiers are available based on response time SLA needs. It’s important to remember that Access Subscription and Maintenance are separate offerings. The Access Subscription provides binary ISO access, along with advance security advisory and feature request access, while the Support and Maintenance contract offering is optional for those who need professional support. Work In Progress These changes are all a work in progress. Other areas being worked on include a new VyOS website and support portal, more professional branding, and a community badge and certification system. Quick Links
Setting up your first experimental sales funnels free.
In this post we will cover how to set up your first automated sales systems if you have not done this before, entirely for free. Without a lot of technical skills required. Depending on your level of IT literacy, the set up can be done in under an hour (for a very basic version). If you do not know how to use things like basic HTML and Wordpress, you will have to learn a little about these as you go along (but there is ample resources for this online). First step is to sign up at Infinity Free. They ate going to hook you up with some free web hosting. You can get a Wordpress site from there (there are other options too). When you get into the control panel it will look like this. Infinity Free Control Panel. Install Wordpress. Infinity Free: Installing Wordpress https://infinityfree.net/support/how-to-install-wordpress/ It will look like this. https://preview.redd.it/4r0ft8zjjhn21.png?width=1632&format=png&auto=webp&s=8554dcd5b4b8125f9d4cf59e15c09883ea0cc909 I forgot to mention earlier, you can either buy a domain name or use a free one provided by Affinity Free. When using a free one, it ends "epizy.com". You can see I have called this one PassiveIncomeExample then used the free domain name PassiveIncomeExample.epizy.com . Scroll down from this page, pick a theme and hit install. You will be given your admin link to access to Wordpress site. This link should be (Sitename.com) wp/wp-admin/. Now you have a free Wordpress blog. You can install add-ons etc and use it like a paid blog. The only cost for this is Infinity Free will have some of their banners on your site (which is fair enough). Next we will be needing an email autoresponder and capture page generator. For this, we go to MailChimp. They will give you the ability to do this for free for small lists of people. Do be sure to check MailChimps term of service for things they do not allow. Otherwise, you will write your email follow ups only to find when MailChimps alog scans them it finds "trigger" words that flag your account for review (disabling it in the meantime from you using it to send emails), and get it closed if you are breaking the terms. These terms forbid promoting things that tend to generate a lot of complains. Examples are MLM/affiliate deal, Forex/Binary options etc. When you join MailChimp they will have a little start up quiz asking your some questions about what you are going to do to get the best settings. They will also probably try to upsell you to a paid subscription at this point, but just use the free one. Starting out, it usually is covering everything you will need while learning to use these. You will also have to give them some personal information, which is to comply with spam prevention laws. MailChimp Landing Page When you get into MailChimp, click "Create" (at the top) and then from the above screen select "Landing Page".
Give your landing page a name on the next screen.
Accept the terms of using templates.
Pick a template.
Here I have a template capture page. Example Landing Page MailChimp I can edit the fields to suit what I want. MailChimp Landing Page Everyone likes to see pricks, this is why reality TV is so popular, so people put in their emails. Now what? This now tells me the list they will be sent to, and also the welcoming message they will get. Which I can edit to best suit. https://preview.redd.it/r3rtf650ohn21.png?width=1722&format=png&auto=webp&s=dedd265f938fa53579e928f6c5c0036bba5b54b6 Once all these are set, this can be "published", and you will have a live link to go and see it online. Do not share it yet, you still need to add email follow ups. Now you can go to "Create" again and select "Email". MailChimp Email Select "Automated" and "Welcome Subscribers". MailChimp Automated Email In this area you can set up series of emails, You can set them to trigger X days after the person joins the list. So to send a week or emails at one a day; Trigger after 1 day, 2 day, 3 day and so on. Automated Email Triggers MailChimp So if I was selling the product listed on this capture page, I would probably be wanting to program these follow up emails to keep sending them the top pricks. Maybe 5 - 10 pricks a day, linking them to places where they can buy it. I may also decide I want to email again after some time has passed, so maybe email them little updates every two weeks or so for a few months. Now you can test all of this, if you have done it properly you should be able to put your email address into your opt in page and start to get automated emails. If this is not the case, you have done something wrong, check over things and find out what. If it does work, great. That is the basic components of an automated sales system in place. You now have a free blog. On here you can make sales pages to advertise products, write reviews for products in blog posts, host videos of you reviewing videos etc. You have a place that is a base for your marketing efforts. You also have a way to automatically tell people about why they should be visiting your website and buying your stuff. Your task now is to work out how to drive traffic to the landing page. After I have made this, how do I find people who want to see my top pricks? The secondary task is to take whatever feedback you can get from people you are putting into this to make it more efficient in the future.
